Hamper Prices & Delivery Policies & Collections
Our courier and postal partners continue to operate a “Contact Free Delivery” policy to all orders being delivered via their services:
- Contact-free delivery
The driver will leave the parcel at the entrance, ring the bell and wait for you to take the parcel then take a photo of the parcel with open door and/or feet in the image. No faces are ever included in photos. -
Local Delivery
All SO41 and BH23 postcodes will automatically qualify for our reduced Local Delivery charge. These hampers will be delivered by one of our team and not via courier - simply let us know a preferred timeframe in the Comments section and we will do our best to accommodate. We are sorry but our team are not permitted to enter any residential premises unless by prior written approval from the client/recipient - otherwise they will leave the gift hamper on the doorstep/sill for the recipient to pick up.
Contactless Collections - It is possible to collect your hamper(s) from our shop in Sway, SO41 6AA. Please select from the drop-down menu at the end when completing your order and choose your preferred date, or email us separately to confirm your date and time. Our shop opening hours are Monday to Thursdays 10am to 4pm and Fridays & Saturdays 10am to 5pm. We are closed on Sundays. Hampers for collection are ready after 12midday but alternative times can be arranged with prior notice.
Hamper pricing:
All our hampers are completely bespoke to your requirements so prices will vary depending on the items you select. To view our range of hamper items and prices, please refer to the "Create A Hamper" form.
We do offer our Gift Collection hamper range and these prices shown include the contents as described, the basket/giftbox relevant to quantity/weight of products, a local artist greetings card where we write your personal message as supplied and postal service - so it is in effect an 'All Inclusive' price shown, also including VAT.
Delivery & courier costs
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to deliver any hampers to the following regions after 1st January 2021 following our exit from the EU, due to new regulations which have brought in to force a new list of prohibited items when despatching to these regions. Unfortunately our lovely hamper products fall within the majority of prohibited items such as alcohol items; oils; cereal-based products; foods with animal origins etc.:
- North America
- Europe
- Republic of Ireland
- Channel Islands
However we do deliver to the rest of the U.K., Wales, Scotland including the Highlands and Northern Ireland - certain postcodes may have restrictions so do check with us if you have any queries. Once you have confirmed your hamper order, this confirmation thereby deems acceptance of the terms and conditions outlined regarding courier/postal bookings.
All orders to be despatched will have the postal charge automatically applied to your total cost. Delivery costs start from £9.95 for a Fully Tracked & Signed For delivery service. In line with the requirements of our contracts with our delivery partners, all fragile items need to be wrapped individually and therefore the courier cost includes all that safe transit packaging, double-walled cardboard box and additional packaging around the hamper itself within the box. A Saturday delivery service is available for an additional charge which is shown if a Saturday is selected.
The postal price is not included in the cost of the bespoke hampers and always quoted as an additional sum within your basket. However for any Gift Collection Hamper the courier cost is included in the total price shown.

Delivery details
Deliveries are usually made between 9am and 5pm, these times cannot be guaranteed during busy periods. We use an overnight Next Weekday postal service. However please note that during peak times Next Day cannot always be guaranteed - but their tracking system will always update our customers where contact details have been provided. A Saturday delivery service is available and can be selected as required on the delivery calendar at checkout.
- We cannot be held responsible for parcels not delivered or collected due to any incorrect delivery information given or if the recipient is out or away, or in the unlikely event your parcel is delayed through no fault of our own. No refund will be given on this basis.
- We request a mobile telephone number for the recipient so that they may receive delivery notifications advising them a package is on its way to them. This is to ensure safe delivery and is ONLY used for delivery purposes. When this number is supplied it informs the recipient to expect a delivery on the day the hamper is collected, plus on the day of delivery, if a courier is used, the system sends them a one-hour timeframe - they can then designate a 'Safe Place' for delivery if they are not going to be in. We do not retain this information on our systems or use the phone number for any other purpose. If an incorrect number or number is not provided which results in non-delivery/delayed delivery the New Forest Hamper Company cannot be held responsible nor incurs any liability for perishable goods contained with the hampers.
- All hampers must be 'signed for' upon delivery in accordance with the contactless delivery procedure. Any hampers containing alcohol must be signed for by someone over 18 years of age. The delivery driver has the right to refuse delivery if sufficient ID isn't provided if requested.
Packaging & Environmental Statement
We understand the impact that the packaging we use has on the environment and are therefore committed to continuously sourcing and using environmentally friendly packaging wherever possible.
BASKETS
Willow, seagrass and bamboo are all entirely renewable resources. We understand that their transportation via container ships is damaging to the environment and so we nest efficiently where possible and minimise any external packaging used in transit. We have selected our supplier after a stringent process, mainly due to the fact that they are an established U.K. friendly business and they operate on the same sustainable values as ourselves. We are continually impressed by their high ethical and ecological values, all their basketware is manufactured from sustainable materials and handmade by artisans who work from their factory which is one of a very select few which has attained SEDEX accreditation and ISO 9001.
KRAFT Paper
The paper we use for packaging around the hamper baskets when we place them in the cardboard boxes is 100% recycled, neutral ph kraft paper and is recyclable and biodegradable. Please recycle.
OUTER BOX
All of our outer boxes are made from 100% recyclable board, therefore contributing to reductions in carbon emissions and landfill waste. These outer boxes are recyclable so please treat these as you would your other cardboard waste.
We are proud to say that your hamper will contain all or some of the above which all play their part in achieving the above mission statement.
SUPPLIER PACKAGING
All our suppliers are now encouraged to use recyclable/compostable packaging wherever possible.
